#PlayInMay - Define yourself

Hey y'all!

Day 2 of Play in May asks us to define ourselves in an uncommon way.  Well if that isn't a big book of vague, I dunno what is.  However, I persevere.

I am:

18 apples tall (fear me, Smurfs!).

769,110,000 centimeters from my hometown.

13,907 days old (at time of writing).

1 of about 560 million people in the world with hazel eyes.

Caulrophobic (like Johnny Depp!).

Cookie dough.  I'm not done baking. I'm not finished becoming who ever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be. I make it through this, and the next thing, and the next thing, and maybe one day, I turn around and realize I'm ready. I'm cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat m- or enjoy warm, delicious, cookie me, then that's fine. That'll be then. When I'm done.  (Thank you, Joss Whedon)

A disciple of Whedon.

108 days away from my last cigarette.

Still waiting for Sam to leap home.

The hero of a basenji crossbreed.

Incapable of "letting it go."  The cold always bothers me.

Pretty sure I wasn't even supposed to be here today.

Bored now.

    1. I was *really* stuck for how to interpret the prompt, so I had to stretch a bit. Once I got going, it got easier but it was still a very hard prompt to write. Glad you enjoyed it though; that makes it worth the effort!

  2. Hail, fellow disciple of Whedon. I, too, am waiting for Sam to make it home. That last episode made me cry.

    1. Cried. So. Hard. I remember reading those words across the screen and my heart just dropped in my chest. It helps knowing that there are still Leapers out there, because shared pain, yadda yadda.

  3. When I read Cookie Dough I was so sure you were going to follow it up with "you can't wait to eat me" and then I was like, oh hey, this isn't Shelley's blog. My bad. I love your smurfs references and think you are awesome.

    1. Haha! Yeah, I don't think Shelley was a Buffy fan, but that's totally something she would say! Thanks so much for the kind words!

  5. OOOH! I like these descriptions very much -- especially how many days you are away from your last cigarette. My husband struggles with this still. I have hazel eyes, as well.

    1. It is definitely an ongoing issue. I'm long past the fits, of course, but every time I see someone smoking, whether it be outside or on tv or a movie, I instantly have a craving. I keep a "rescue inhaler" for emergencies, which is basically an e-cig, but thankfully I haven't had to use it since we were in Austin and met up with the gang at the bar. It helps that I've essentially quit drinking too, because that's always when I want a cigarette the most.

  6. Oh. My. Goodness! This is hilarious! I love it! Genius I say! So creative! I'm waiting for Sam to leap home too, "oh boy". And I'm still flying over here. ;)

    1. Aww thanks, Kirsten. I do appreciate your support! Next twinsie post, should we do QL nails? I've been toying with ideas in my brain for how to get the blue-white accelerator light effect.
