Hey y'all!
Today I have a couple more goodies to show you. These were sent to me for review by Born Pretty Store, from their new arrivals section. Here I have some girlie googly eyes and a wheel of gold and silver star-shaped studs. After the jump, I'll show you the nail art looks I created with them!
For the googley eyes, I considered a lot of different possibilities, but these are actually a bit bigger than I was expecting, so I opted to paint a girl (in acrylic paint) and give her eyes that would let her look all over the place.
I started by painting all my nails with two coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff. I used acrylic paints to add her hair, nose, and lips, and applied the character eyes with nail glue.
On my other nails, I created french tips with Essie Leading Lady, and lined the tip with tiny white half-pearls.
To show off the stars, I created this American patriotic look.
I began this look by painting each nail with a coat of Sinful Colors Hot Shot. On my middle and ring fingers only, I added two coats of China Glaze All Wrapped Up and then laid stripes of Essie Leading Lady down the center. On the other nails, I created the same kind of stripe using Pure Ice Superstar! (both stripe colors took two coats). I didn't use any special tools for the stripes, just the bottle brushes and a steady hand. I find it helps if you swipe it fairly quickly.
While the stripe polish was still wet, I added the studs down the center of each nail, and finished by applying topcoat to seal everything in.

Ok. This googley eyes literally had me LOLing. Those are awesome!
ReplyDeleteIn retrospect, maybe I should've done a muppet instead. LOL.
DeleteSo, how long did the googley eyes last?
