#PlayInMay - Fashion I wish was still in style

Hey y'all!

Reading the title of this post, and hopefully knowing me at least a little by now, this should come as no surprise:

Nor this:

And really, probably not even this:

But really, the actual fashion I wish was still in style is more like this:

And this:

And this:

And definitely, this:

... It's possible that I was born out of my own time.  Actually, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened.

  4. I very much love the 20s styles. So fancy. I wonder if I'd have enjoyed it that much if I'd lived back then, or if I would have pined for something older!

  6. So many things in this list I agree with! Though I really wish men dressed "up". I think women still have a wide range of clothing types, but I feel like guys, or at least the ones I know, either are jeans or shorts, but rarely tend to "dress up" on a somewhat regular basis.

    1. I think its indicative of both sexes to an extent. I know a LOT of women who live in jeans and/or yoga pants and hardly ever put on a dress. Actually, I may be one of them? Eek!

  7. Thank You for the Firefly reference (Brown Coats Forever!) and also Buffy (still miss her terribly!). I like those wonderful hats that women wore. And the fedoras that men used to wear. About ten years ago, at a restaurant with my husband and mother-in-law (who grew up during the Depression), a tall, slim, elderly man walked in with, apparently, his wife. He wore a nice summer suit and a fedora, and looked so casually elegant. My m-i-l and I looked at each other and smiled, our eyes twinkling. It was a treat to see that.

    1. I love hats! Unfortunately my head is just not suited to them, at all. It is a constant source of sadness for me.
