Emily over at Nailsxo decided to host a friendly nail art competition in honor of the world cup which starts in a little over a week. Each nail artist who signed up was randomly given a country with a team in this year's World Cup, and we were to make nail art in honor of that team. I somehow managed to draw England!
I'm not sure how exactly I managed to pull England in this competition, but I am pretty grateful because A) the colors are pretty easy to work with, and B) The flag is super simple if you can paint straight lines. I opted to go for a glittery gradient nail look.
I started by painting all my nails with a coat of Pure Ice Superstar!. I used loose blue glitter to for the middle and thumb nails, and the index and pinky nails have a glitter gradient sponged on with e.l.f. Love Me.
The ring finger accent nail was done with Finger Paints Vintage Glam and a striping brush.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with this look, although I do wish I'd had the blue glitter in a polish rather than loose, because loose glitter is so messy!
I actually took video footage while I was creating this look, so I hope to get that posted on YouTube shortly.
Let me know in the comments if you love or hate this look. Good luck to all the other nail art competitors and I look forward to seeing all of your designs!
Love this I still need to do mine will either get it done tonight or started tonight
