We're moving right along in the 31DC, aren't we? To end the weekend and hopefully send you all into Monday morning with a smile, today's prompt is Happiness, so I tried to piece together the happiest nail art I could, given the sour weather and house full of sick and/or injured people and puppies.
I decided that some of my happiest moments come from getting new indie polishes, and since I haven't been swatching for a while, my untried indie stash is fairly large. I had two beautiful UK indies which immediately made me think happy thoughts.
I started by applying two coats of Pure Ice Superstar! on all my nails to create a nice white base. On my ring finger, I applied Quirk's LE Sunshine, a lovely yellow jelly filled with large yellow hexes and tiny orange micro glitters.
On the rest of my nails, I used Rimmel Too Cool To Tango to create a distressed blue over the white base, and then applied Tara's Talons Butterfly Dreams, a lovely pearl shimmer topper full of pink butterfly glitters. Because they're larger and oddly shaped, I ended up picking the glitters off the brush and placing them myself, and then also added them to the yellow nail. As I was placing them I managed to dent up part of that accent nail pretty badly, which is why there's so many of the glitters on there - I was trying to hide my goofs!
This look screams springtime and bright sunny days to me, and I'm always a happy girl when I get to pull out some of my beautiful indies for a nail art look. For more Happiness looks, be sure to check out the inlinkz - there are a lot of incredibly talented ladies doing this 31DC!
Hope your weekend was restful and you're ready for a new week. Don't forget to write your dates with 2015, not 2014!! Take care, and I will see you tomorrow!
