Obligatory Pink Hearts Valentine's Day Stamped Nail Art
Hey y'all!
I'm not sure how Valentine's Day manages to sneak up on me every year. I imagine it has a lot to do with not being a big celebrator of V-Day, and also a deeply ingrained dislike of all things pink and "girly" but I felt a bit obligated to at least give y'all one cutesy VD look that's super fast and easy (so you still have time to replicate it for tomorrow).

31DC-D24 - Decals
Hey y'all!
Today's prompt for the 31-Day Challenge is Decals, and whereas I had intended to do a tutorial for making homemade water slide decals, time got away from me and I seem to have lost my water slide paper anyway, so that's gonna get pushed back, but it IS coming. Instead I turned to a baggie in the bottom of my nail art kit that contains all the random decals and stickers that I somehow end up with but never use. I pulled out a set of pretty French Tips and used them to make this look.

Fall-ing for Nail Art: Traditional Thanksgiving
Hey y'all!
Happy Thanksgiving! To my US readers, I hope you're all stuffed to the gills with yummy food and in the company of loved ones. At the very least, I hope each and everyone one of you can find something for which to be thankful, and that goes for all of you, regardless of your national origin or geographic location. Today's final prompt in the Fall-ing for Nail Art challenge is Traditional Thanksgiving images, and I bounced back on forth for this prompt for several days, trying to find something that wasn't too cliched or that hasn't been seen a million times already. I've got a very untraditional take on traditional images, and it was inspired by my shopping trip today where I was really overloaded with all the Christmas decorations and sales going up in November. It seems to happen earlier and earlier with each passing year, and here in the UK I was actually seeing Christmas sales going up before Halloween!

Teal and Champagne Textured Stamping feat. Beauty UK Grit FX
Hey y'all!
Happy days for me, as I recently won a prize in PiggieLuv's Birthday Bash giveaway, consisting of four bottles of Beauty UK Grit FX polishes, courtesy of Sassy Little Nails. Having tested a couple of other Beauty UK polishes and being a fan of the texture, I was super excited to try these out! I wore the polishes plain for probably 2 days before I finally decided to do some stamping and take pics, so please forgive the grow-out around my cuticles.

Red and Copper mixed dots nail art
Hey y'all!
I wanted to show y'all the project we've been working on this week in the SIMPLES group - it's Mixed Dots! Last week we did straight up polka dots - very organized and neat. This week we mixed it up by adding differently sized dots in random order. There's no pattern here! I chose to mix up a coral red with a gorgeous copper.

Friday the 13th giveaway winnings and radio silence
Hey y'all!
I had intended to be able to post a Feature Friday video for you today, but unfortunately I was a bit ambitious yesterday in filming and I'm paying the price for it today. My camera films videos in mp4 format which has to be converted to avi before I can edit it and publish to YouTube. Well, yesterday I went on a spree and filmed 4 videos back to back, so since last night my poor little computer has been trying to convert SO MANY GIGS of footage into the proper format that I pretty much can't get anything else done until that's finished. Ergo, no video today, but there will be several coming up soon-ish.
In better news, today I received a gorgeous hot pink metallic bubble mailer which contained my winnings from the Nail Newbie's latest giveaway! It's a hot coral polish from Beauty UK's new range of polishes. Can't wait to swatch it and test its formula!
Seriously though, how cute is her stationery?
Sorry there isn't more to post today, but this is life and sometimes you have to wait for the good stuff. In the meantime, have you entered my giveaway yet?
