Obligatory Pink Hearts Valentine's Day Stamped Nail Art

Hey y'all!

I'm not sure how Valentine's Day manages to sneak up on me every year.  I imagine it has a lot to do with not being a big celebrator of V-Day, and also a deeply ingrained dislike of all things pink and "girly" but I felt a bit obligated to at least give y'all one cutesy VD look that's super fast and easy (so you still have time to replicate it for tomorrow).

As I was digging around in my untrieds pile, I found a pale pink textured polish that I won months and months ago in a giveaway and never got around to wearing because... it's pale pink.  Next I dug out a bright pinky coral matte shade that I got on sale during the winter and was waiting for warmer weather to feature. 

I started with two coats of Beauty UK Posh Polish Grit FX Fabric on all my nails.  I still really like the formula on these textured polishes, and Fabric has a handy helping of holographic shimmer throughout, which unfortunately I didn't manage to capture at all in these pics.  In the tiny little places where you see flashes of white in these nails, know that it's actually a whole rainbow of flashes and in real life they're actually abundant and beautiful!

I stamped over these nails with images from VL009 using Barry M Copa Cabana - a matte shade that worked really well for stamping but did require me to move quickly.  I was particularly impressed with how it handled the inverse image of the hearts, because you can only see a scant few places where it skipped out of the etching on that accent finger.  I included a couple of macro shots for you, which can be blown up bigger if you click on them. 

Okay, so considering that I really dislike the fru-fru girlyness of this look, I actually kind of like it, but don't tell anyone.  It's a shame that my favorite part is completely undocumented, because the holo shimmer is really what makes this look stand out for me.  I even tried to capture it on video... but still couldn't get it right.
