Avast Ye Bilge Rats Pirate Nail Art Challenge Day 4: Treasure Maps

Ahoy, me hearties!

Today I be back with more pirate themed nail art, and today I be celebratin' a seadog's greatest tool: the treasure map.  When ye hides yer booty, it be important t' know where ye've stashed it, so a treasure map helps ye get back t' ye gold!

Today's cute design was created with a bit of stamping and a new technique for me!

L-R: NYC Matte Me Crazy, OPI A-Piers To Be Tan, Models Own Naked Glow, Essie Where's My Chauffeur?
I started this look with two coats of Naked Glow on my ring finger, and two coats of Where's My Chauffeur? on all the others.  Once it was dry, I used VL023 again (this plate was MEANT for this challenge!) to add some island map details on the seafoam-colored nails in A-Piers To Be Tan.  I wanted to actually create two map effects: one that would lead you to the correct island, and the accent nail to be a closeup land map (sort of like zooming in on Google maps).

After the stamping was finished, I added the matte topcoat, and then drew my land map details in with various colors of permanent ink markers.  If you knew which island the treasure was buried on, you could find the treasure by finding the join of two rivers west of the mountain range (and north of a swamp), travel north until you found a copse of palm trees, and heading east 30 paces to where the treasure is buried.  This map may or may not be where I've actually buried some treasure.  Dead men tell no tales!!

Hope you like this fun look as much as I enjoyed creating it.  I have been holding off on using ink markers for a while, and I'm so glad this prompt gave me a perfect opportunity!

If you be itchin' t' see more treasure maps, head to the inlinkz below to find the buried hoards of some of my mateys!

As always, feel free to sound off below and let me know what you think.  Also, don't forget, tomorrow is Talk Like A Pirate Day, so be sure to spruce up yer lingo!
