Hey Swatch It! Tara's Talons Hollyhock and Villain

Hey y'all!

In a fantastic stroke of luck, I recently won Nail Art Novice's latest giveaway for three polishes from Tara's Talons.  Imagine my surprise when my package showed up, and Jenni had included some extras for me!  In addition to Hollyhock, Villain, and Butterfly Dreams, she added an adorable little horned-rim glasses ring and a roll of bronzey striping tape.  Score!  Today I want to show you two of my new pretties, and the adorable ring she sent me!

I was immediately intrigued by this polish, which has a variety of fine silver and lilac glitters suspended in a pale bluish lavender jelly base, which dries to a soft matte finish.  I love the way Villain catches the light!  These photos show 3 coats and no topcoat.

No doubt inspired by the common ornamental garden flowers, this glitter topper is full of multi-shaped and sized glitters that run along the pink/red/purple color family.  I particularly like that Tara also included some transparent glitters in with the metallics, which add a lot of depth and interest to the final look.  I've swatched it here over differing base colors so you can see the full spectrum of possibilities.  These photos show 2 dabbed coats of Hollyhock, and all finished with SV.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!  Hopefully next weekend I'll get around to swatching the third polish I won in this giveaway, just as soon as I figure out the best way to layer it! :)  Take care, and I'll see ya soon!
