Hey Swatch It! Mentality Hard Candy

Hey y'all!


I decided it was high time that I bought out some more pretty holos to play, and today I've got a stunner.  This purple scattered beauty is Mentality Hard Candy.

Of course I'm enamored with just about any purple polish anyway, and the shiny holo things make me happy in my heart to no end, so when I spotted this gorgeous gal online, it was like she just jumped into my basket without any effort on my part.  I believe this is also the only US indie that I've purchased while in England, since usually I haul those when I visit home. 

I'm absolutely thrilled with Hard Candy.  It's just the right shade of grape purple, and has just the right amount of scattered holo gooey center to keep it interesting.  Shown here are 2 coats of Hard Candy with no topcoat.

Of course, living in England it's very hard to be able to rely on the sun for taking pictures, but thankfully my UV light allows me to bring the sparkle out even when it's pouring rain outside (as it was when I swatched this polish).

Formula is pretty perfect here, and I didn't even see any streaking on the first coat, just a bit of sheerness.  The second coat took care of that altogether, and the dry time was about 10 minutes.  In fact, I washed a few dishes gloveless about 30 minutes later, and I didn't even see any dents!  Of course for anyone else I would recommend topcoating just to protect the pretties.

I of course did feature this polish in some my quilted nail art a few months ago, but I felt it really needed to be swatched on its own because it's so gorgeous.

Although this is my first Mentality polish, I'm pretty sure it won't be my last.  Do you own any?
