Blue Me Over: Colour Me Crazy Challenge

*** This post contains items which were sent for review. ***

Hey y'all!

I probably went a little overboard creating today's Blue-themed mani for the Colour Me Crazy challenge, but I'm okay with that.  It's got a little bit of everything - stamping, studs, rhinestones, gradients, striping tape, glitter, and holo!

Perhaps still riding on a small high from having a major brand "like" one of my Instagrams, I somehow wound up using exclusively China Glaze polishes in this look.

So basically this mani breaks down into two processes:  my thumb, index, and pinky nails started with a White On White base and then I sponged a gradient of Wait N' Sea, First Mate, and Up All Night onto them.  After sealing the gradient with SV, I stamped the funky square spirals pattern from MoYou Nails plate 122 in Sci-Fly By.

On my middle and ring fingers, I began with two coats of Wait N' Sea, and then taped off triangles coming up from the nail tip, over which I applied a coat of All Wrapped Up.  After sealing that in with SV, I then used striping tape to mark off vertical lines down the nail and covered with a coat of Sci-Fly By.  In my head, this effect was going to look a lot more cool than it ultimately did, but that's okay.  I finished these nails by applying blue square studs, small blue square rhinestones, light blue lens-shaped rhinestones, and clear heart shaped rhinestones into the cross pattern shown, and sealed everything with SV.

Exhausted?  Yeah, me too, but I kinda lurve the results all the same.  If you're feeling blue, or maybe just FEELING blue, be sure to check out the other blue manis from the British Nail Bloggers in the inlinkz below.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and I'll see ya soon!
