Mint with Coral Stamping: Colour Me Crazy Pastels

Hey y'all!

This week's Colour Me Crazy challenge prompt is pastels, and while my nails are still rehabbing from the beating they took in class last week, I decided to liberate this pretty little design from the vault for you.

Pastel textured negative space nail art featuring Born Pretty Store studs

*** This post contains items which were sent for review and affiliate links. ***

Hey y'all!

If you read my birthday haul post, you may recall me spending a Marks&Spencer gift certificate on, what else, nail supplies! Part of that haul was a set of 4 pastel textured polishes from the M&S Limited Collection. Then, Born Pretty Store sent me some really cute colored nail art studs in spring-toned green, purple, and blue, and this nail art just sort of fell into place!

Cadbury's Mini Egg Nail Art - TPTC

Hey y'all!

I thought really long and hard about doing an April Fool's joke here... but decided not to because I couldn't think of anything clever am a nice person.  The first of April heralds the beginning of a new set of colors for the Tri-Polish challenge, and with Easter being so late in the month, I imagine we're going to be seeing a lot of soft pastel blue, pink, and yellow looks before it's all over.  I have had this idea kicking around in my head for a couple of months, but when I had to reshape my nails last week after that bad corner break, it immediately went to the head of the class because I couldn't think of anything more clever like to make the best of bad situations.  Today I have a super simple but almost instantly recognizable nail art look for you - Cadbury's Mini Eggs!

Hey Swatch It! Models Own HyperGel Collex, pt 1 - Pastels and Neutrals

Hey y'all!

At the beginning of February, Models Own reached a massive 250,000 likes on Facebook just before the launch of the HyperGel line, and celebrated by having a 50% off sale on their website.  Like so many others, I couldn't resist and ended up ordering 7 of the 10 HyperGels (I passed on Pink Veneer and Cerise Shine because "meh, pink", and Red Lustre, because it was already sold out), along with some other goodies (including the Midori set because ohmydot I wanted watermelon scented green polish... ahem).  Today I'll be showing you my pastels and neutrals of that HyperGel haul, and will post the other three ("brights") next Saturday.  The hype around these polishes is that they give a gel-like finish and shine without topcoat or UV curing.
