When I woke up this morning, almost the very first thing I saw in my social media feed was referencing some huge debacle that the internet had while I was sleeping, about the color of #thedress and the two camps who saw it differently. Over the course of the day, the rest of the UK picked up the debate and I decided I couldn't let it go without commemorating #dressgate with some nailart.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, go throw #dressgate or #thedress into a search engine and come back to this post. Go ahead. The rest of the class will wait for you to get up to date on your social media awareness. It's cool.
As you can see, I've captured the two color camps on my middle and ring fingers. Middle finger is two coats of Sally Hansen OMGhost with lace stamping from BM-323 in Barry M Gold Foil. Ring finger is one coat of Barry M Damson stamped with Konad Black and the same image. I had a heckuva time getting that image to stamp straight, so I made decals, which explains the weird bubble on the blue nail.
To finish off my look, I applied three coats of Maybelline Alluring Rose to the rest of my nails, added googly eyes to my index finger, and painted on some question marks with MUA Pitch Black to the pinky and thumb nails. Everything's sealed in with a coat of SV.
Of course, this look was just for a laugh, so I don't consider it fine art. I knew someone was gonna do it, so I figured I'd try to be the first. :)
Hope you're all having a great weekend, and I'll be back tomorrow with the rest of the Models Own Colour Chrome collection swatches!
