12DOC: Silver Bells Glitter Gradient

Hey y'all!

Happy Wednesday!  Can you believe that in just ONE WEEK it'll be Christmas Eve?  Insanity!  I am truly sorry if you're still jostling around trying to get preparations made.  Thankfully, I've been able to stay on top of it all and am left with the luxury of enjoying all the decorations and fast-forwarding through the commercials because we only ever watch stuff on the DVR these days.  Speaking of decorations, I showed you some on Monday, and today I've taken the 12DOC Glitter prompt and turned it into decorations as well, sort of.  Here is my silver bells purple glitter gradient look.

Metallic purple nails with a glitter gradient, topped with stamped silver bells.

This metallic look was easy to achieve with just three polishes and one stamping plate.

L-R: Barry M Silver Foil, George Molten Metals No. 3 Pirate, Barry M Masquerade

I started this look with one coat of No. 3 Pirate, which I originally picked up to use as a stamping polish.  It probably stamps as well, but I haven't tested it yet!  I used Masquerade to create the glitter gradient coming from the tips of my middle and ring fingers, and from the cuticle from all other nails.  I did this with the bottle brush, though I might've gotten a slightly more uniform gradient if I'd used a sponge.  This is irrelevant.

I then stamped the pretty bells from the W-07 plate I purchased from born pretty store (the scalloped edge series) with Silver Foil, and topped everything with SV!

All told, this was a super simple way to jazz up a plain manicure!  For more glitter looks from today's challenge, be sure to check the inlinkz below.

Hope you're all doing really well, and I'll see you Friday!
