Hey y'all!
Today's prompt for the 31-Day Challenge has us revisiting our archives to recreate a look we've already done. I had a hard time deciding between remastering a look I flopped the first time around or revamping a look that I got right, and ultimately decided that I had to recreate one that had a request for a tutorial which I never got around to. I still haven't done the tutorial, mind you, but at least I'm dusting off the original look for another go.
Here's the original gradient dragonfly stamping look that I did back in January of last year.
And here's the updated version:
I changed a lot of things about this look while staying true to the original, but one piece stayed very much the same - the base polish is the beautiful Vampire's Kiss from Belle Glamour. I fell in love with this polish when I swatched it, and when Cat closed down her store, she sent me a full-sized bottle as a thank-you gift, which I've cherished but haven't worn much because I know that once it's gone, it's gone for good!
To recreate this mani, I started with two coats of Vampire's Kiss. Once dry, I sponged on a gradient adding ILNP Birefringence and Sirene to add the blue and the green tones to the purple. I stamped on the dragonflies this time from VL-014 in Essie Penny Talk and topped with SV. While my top coat was still wet, I added the Swarovski 3SS AB crystals to the larger dragonfly heads and the large silver dragonfly nail charm.
Be sure to check out all the other recreated nail art looks in the inlinkz below!
Be safe and be well, and I'll see you tomorrow!
