Hey y'all!
It's finally Friday, and that of course brings the next round of Nail Challenge Collaborative posts! This month we're celebrating 3 years of NCC nail art by recreating past NCC looks. For my third, I've elected to recreate A Girl and Her Polish's Soft Neon Gradient, a gorgeous look on which I think I missed the mark.

Beachy Gradient Colorblocking Nail Art - NCC Inspired By Fashion
Hey y'all!
Friday's finally here, and it's the last Friday of the month, so that's insane. Thankfully it's also my chance to present my final look for this month's NCC theme: Inspired by Fashion, where I got to play with a neutral palette and a beachy-themed gradient with some colorblocking.

Loose Glitter Gradient - What I Did Wednesday
Hey y'all!
I had a really hard time deciding what kind of nail art I should do with my swatch of Nail Pattern Boldness Allons-Y because it is just so beautiful, I didn't want to cover it up or take away from that sparkly goodness! Ultimately while looking through my supplies I decided the only thing to do over glitter was add MOAR GLITTAH!

Aquatic Houndstooth - WIDW
Hey y'all!
Hope you're all recovering from green beer-fueled benders last night, because of course that means the luck o' the Irish is with you! Today's What I Did Wednesday features the swatch of OPI Get Your Number that I swatched on Saturday, with some stamped gradient nail art on top.

31DC-D20 - Rainbow
Hey y'all!
Today's prompt for the 31-Day Challenge is Rainbow, and since I've done a lot of different rainbow looks in
the last year or so, I really wanted to try to come up with something... different. I started looking around for other nail art designs combining rainbow with animal print, and I found a lot of the standard leopard and tiger and zebra patterns, so I had to start thinking outside the box for something unique. I certainly think I've accomplished that with this look - rainbow tortoise shell.

31DC-D11 - Reversed Polarities
Hey y'all!
Today's prompt for the 31-Day Challenge is Reversed Polarities, which confused quite a few people, apparently. Originally I had intended to do a purple and yellow half-and-half nail with some needle dragging in concentric circles, but after Debbie explained what she meant with this prompt on a group discussion board, I had to rethink what I was doing. The less confusing term for this look would be something like photo negative, or inverted colors, where the colors of a nail art are flipped to the opposite color. I almost immediately thought a skyline mani would look cool with the colors inverted, and possibly because we just booked our next trip to Austin, I just had to give it a try with my hometown's skyline.

31DC-D7 - Pink and Aqua
Hey y'all!
Happy Humpday! You have officially survived the first week of 2015! I did a bit more playing with the new camera, and I think I'm on the verge of getting my daytime light box settings sussed, as you'll see in the pics. Today I have a cute and colorful gradient look with some dual-toned stamping over the top to celebrate today's 31-Day Challenge prompt: Pink and Aqua!

12DOC: Snowflakes
Hey y'all!
Happy 1st of December! We're on the countdown now to Christmas and New Years, and that means a LOT of seasonal nail art from all of your favorite nail artists. It seems like we only just finished last month's Challenge Your Nail Art series, and here we are starting a new series today. For the next 3 weeks, we're going to be visiting the Twelve Days of Christmas, with prompts every other day. Since this schedule runs roughshod over my usual M-W-F-S posting schedule, I'm going to abandon my normal schedule and hold off swatch posts (with one important exception this weekend), so that I can get all this nail art done and still have time to get my Christmas stuff in gear. All that said, let's get into this challenge! Our first prompt is Snowflakes!

Black and White and Pink All Over
Hey y'all!
Happy Humpday! October is turning up to be a sort of surreal month for me. It's a little too personal to share with the whole wide world, but suffice it to say that I'm going through some growing pains as an epat and as a wife. I haven't been participating much lately with the Axis of Ineptitude, mostly because I just haven't felt like "writing," and the writing I have been doing is all nail stuff. The "nail stuff" has pretty much consumed the last couple months for me. I've thrown myself in to creating as much content as possible and for a few weeks there, I was posting new content 6 times a week! That's an incredible pace, which I cannot maintain, so I'm slowing it down and will be trying to regulate my posting to Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday. That should be 3 days of nail art during the week, and swatching on Saturday. I think that's a liveable pace and shouldn't rattle me too badly. Today, I'm tying in to two different prompts - one for the Pick-n-Mix challenge, and one for the Axis, so I'll start by showing you the nail art, and then I'll do some faffing at the end for those who want to read it.

Aquatic Gradient nail art
Hey y'all!
Happy Friday! Today's nail art comes to you courtesy of me fiddling around in my untrieds again, where I noticed I had a sizable number of blues and teals accumulating, so I decided to pull a few out and make some nail art with them. The result is this aquatic-feel gradient with an accent nail that I think ended up looking like octopus suckers, though it wasn't the intention.

*** This post contains items which were sent for review. ***
Hey y'all!
I probably went a little overboard creating today's Blue-themed mani for the Colour Me Crazy challenge, but I'm okay with that. It's got a little bit of everything - stamping, studs, rhinestones, gradients, striping tape, glitter, and holo!

Red White & Blue and Fireworks too!
Hey y'all!
Continuing on my slightly homesick nail art journey, I wanted to sneak in a patriotic Independence Day mani for y'all, with full knowledge that these Brits may kick me out for doing so. In fairness, I drink more tea than I throw in the harbor, and while I still haven't started using all those extraneous "U"s in my writing, I have begun naturally referring to my phone as my mobile instead of my cell, and I now complain about how many adverts interrupt my television, rather than fast-forwarding through the commercials. Expat life really does change a person, yo. Anyway... the upcoming holiday gave me a chance to showcase a beautiful UK indie that I picked up from a shop which closed earlier this year, and I was able to snatch up several bottles before they were gone for good. Additionally, I got to play with a new stamping plate from Vivid Lacquer, so all's good on the home front, and I bring you this installment of Sunday Stamping.

Feature Friday: MoYou Nails Stamping Nail Art
*** This post contains items which were sent for review.***
Hey y'all!Today I want to show you some nail art I did with polish, stamping plates, and stamper from MoYou Nails. I received the basic equivalent of the MoYou Kitty Set, with the exception being that I received Lilac polish rather than the standard Black which comes in the kit.

Swirly Matte Gradient nail art - LNTC
Hey y'all!
This week the Llama Nails challenge brings me to a technique that I've shown a LOT of over the short life of this blog, but it is one of my favorite techniques for achieving beautiful nails without a whole lot of talent required. To change things up, I actually attempted a different method to achieve gradient nails, but it got a bit mussed and I wasn't happy with the results, so I ultimately went back to my tried and true.

Hey Swatch it: Quirk Polish Novels and Nails April: The Picture of Dorian Gray
Hey y'all!
You may remember a few weeks ago I reviewed the introductory box set offering from Quirk's Novels and Nails box set. Today I'm back with April's box, and oh my dot, am I hooked this month. This month we received a package centering around Oscar Wilde's only novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Coral under the sea - GOT Polish
Hey y'all!
Lookie! I'm dipping my toes back into Goldie Oldies Thursday! This week's prompt is Coral, and I took that as an opportunity to give tribute to both the color and the sea creature with my nail art.

My Lucky Summer Dragonflies! #2014BloggerChallenge-Nails
Hey y'all!
Topic 5 for the #2014BloggerChallenge seemed almost too easy when Gaby sent out the announcement, but then I remembered that only a few of us participating are actually nail bloggers. The theme is always open for interpretation, but since I'm already in the nail blogging niche, I thought I would share a very special NOTD with you - my Lucky Summer Dragonflies!
