Purple Chrome and Black Nail Art: What I Did Wednesday

Hey y'all!

Good morning, fabulous faffers!  Today I'd like to start a new segment here at Fixin To Faff, wherein I show you the nail art I create with a swatch AFTER I've shared it on Hey, Swatch It Saturdays.  Today's inagural "What I Did (With It)" Wednesday will showcase how I transformed my last swatch from the Models Own Colour Chromes, Chrome Mauve.  With it, I created this purple chrome and black nail art look.

Nail art featuring stamping, glitter, texture, and rhinestones over chrome polish in purple and black tones.

How fun is that?  With my base of Chrome Mauve on all nails, I added the stamping in Konad Black from Vivid Lacquer plate VL019 on my thumb, ring, and pinky nails, and added a coat of Maybelline Color Show White Splatter on my index nail to add that funky graffiti glitter look.

For my middle finger, I created a ruffian by applying two coats of Sally Hansen Velvet Texture Velveteen a few millimeters from the top of the chrome polish, giving it a halo effect.  While the second coat was still wet, I placed in the purple rhinestones to finish it off.  If you needed a more permanent fix, I would suggest applying them with nail glue.

As always, I would love to hear what you think, not only of this look, but of the idea of dedicating a day each week to show the nail art that happens after a swatch is done.

Hope you're all having a great week, and I'll see ya Friday, with another new feature, courtesy of some exciting news!  Stay tuned!
