Hey y'all!
Today I'm pulling another polish out of the deep untried stack which was late even coming into my clutches. Every Month Is Oktoberfest (hereto named EMIO because ohmidot I can't type that out all day long) was released in OPI's Germany Collection way back in Fall 2012. I was far too busy being working 3 jobs and being broke to buy polish back then, but someone blogged it late last year and I ended up falling in love and ordering it.
From the bottle, it looks like a heavily red-tinted purple.
On the nails, however, this polish has so much depth and fire. All of these pictures show two coats of EMIO with a coat of SV. The one above and the following two are inside my lightbox, where I wanted to bring out the rich plum tones that it gives off in indoor settings.
You can definitely see the rusty-red shimmer both in the bottle and on the nail in soft lighting. It looks, dare I say it... squishy.
The next two shots are underneath my UV bulb, to help capture what the polish looks like in full spectrum lighting.
You can still see those shimmers, but they take a bit of a backseat to the almost blurple base of the polish.
Hopefully it's pretty easy to see why I needed this beauty in my arsenal. I'm a sucker for rich purples anyway, but this one has such depth that I couldn't help myself. Being an OPI, of course, application was smooth and easy. Flawless.
Hope you're having a great Saturday and I will see you soon!
