Hey y'all!
Happy Saturday! For today's Swatch It, I have another gorgeous Ultrachrome polish from ILNP, made extra special by the addition of a bit of holo sparkle! This is the holographic version of Peace.
Peace is a lovely purple-blue shifter, with a few flashes of greenish copper at the right angle in the right light. Like the rest of ILNP's Ultrachromes, it actually comes to life best when used over a black polish, but can be built to opacity on its own. In the past, it has usually taken me three coats to get to opacity, but these pics show just two coats, topped with COT. These top two pics were taken in my light box, where you can see the icy shift between purple and blue really easily and with diminished glare.
To really show off the gorgeousness, though, you have to get this polish under full-spectrum lighting. Since England is notoriously stingy with the sunlight, I snapped the remaining pics under my LED light, so you can really see the chromes come alive, and the holographic flash!
In natural lighting, you can also see a different purple tone that leans a bit more fuchsia at the farthest angles. I've see other bloggers have success capturing the full spectrum of color shift when they photograph under water, so I'm going to investigate how I can incorporate that into my current photo setup.
In case you can't see the holo peeking out, I grabbed a focused and slightly-out-of-focus macro each, because I do love you so!
This is another polish that's dangerous to wear while driving, because it's certainly a distraction! The color shifts fall right into my sweet spot, making this a definite favorite in my stash.
Hope you're all having a great weekend, and I'll see ya Monday!
