It be time for another monthly Challenge Your Nail Art series, and this week we're all deep in t' rum for pirate themed nail art, culminatin' in International Talk Like A Pirate Day on Friday! Today's prompt be Sea Creatures, so I threw a few techniques together t' get this look shipshape.
Arrrr-righty, rather than do a step-by-step explanation o' t' entire process that I used t' create this design, suffice it t' say that I did a sponge gradient base, covered with a a blue-green duochrome polish, and added all t' plants and fishes by stampin' from two awesome plates, MoYou London's Sailor-08, an' My Online Shop's JR-30. With only a couple o' exceptions (white and black, Konad) all t' polishes used be Barry M, includin' t' glitter accent.
Far more important, me thinks, would be t' see macros o' each o' t' sea creature nails.
On my thumb, a trio of Jellyfish in front of a lavender sea coral. |
On my index, a yellow striped fish (possibly a cardinalfish?) in front of red seaweed. |
On my middle finger, a stressed-out porcupine puffer in some green kelp. |
On my pinky, a school of silverfish in a green seaweed bed. |
I hope you enjoy this saltwater aquarium on my nails! I'll be back tomorrow with more from this challenge. Also if you'd like to see more sea creature themed nail art, check out the inlinkz below!
Hope you're all off to a fantastic Monday, and I'll see ya soon!
