Today I have a bright and funky stamped leopard print nail art for you. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with the quality of the stamping plate, but I am pleased with the overall finished look for today's Tri Polish Tuesday.
All three polishes used in this mani are from Sinful Colors. It's almost as though I feel a failure now if I don't manage to get them all from the same manufacturer, and I don't know why. Luckily these played together SO nicely.
L-R: Sinful Colors Easy Going, (Matte) Savage, Thimbleberry |
Before stamping, I sealed the nail art in with a coat of OTD. I have actually designed a system for deciding which quick-dry topcoat to use based on what's underneath. Since OTD is notoriously smear-y (totally a word now), it's perfect for use on marbles and gradients because it helps blend the colors even more.
Once the topcoat was dry, I stamped Savage on in this leopard print from a fauxnad m57 plate that I purchased from BPS. It took many, many, many, many, many tries to get this full manicure done, because the image did NOT want to pick up reliably. Eventually I was able to get it all done, though, and I'm satisfied with the results.
I really love the juxtaposition of the glossy marble base with the matte turquoise stamping, so I did not topcoat over the stamping so I wouldn't lose that.
What do you think of this bright animal print? Are you enjoying the nude/coral/turquoise nail art looks as much as I am? Let me know down below, and be sure to check out the other beautiful designs by the Nail Tarts below.
Hope you're all having a fantastic week and I'll see you again tomorrow!
